Shadow of the Colossus PS4 Walkthrough part 2 details location and tips on how to defeat Colossus 5 Avion, Colossus 6 Barba, and Colossus 7 Hydrus.
In Shadow of the Colossus Walkthrough Part 1, you had seen three colossi and how to defeat them, and now in this part, we will be dealing with the next three Avion, Barba and Hydrus.
Defeat Colossus 5 Avion (Delta Phoenix) – Shadow of the Colossus Walkthrough
After defeating the last one, Phaedra which resemble like a horse, for his one you have to be a bit prepared before approaching it. Ensure that your strength bar is full before you attack the soft points of the colossi. This one is more like a flying bird, so you will have to attack the wings. You will have to need a good grip to stay on the colossi. Once you stab the colossi will crash that can make you fall down. You can find this one on the east side.
Go outside and look on the left, follow the direction where the light is pointing, you will have to ride behind the rocky mountain just where the light is pointing you. Go right cross through the edges of the mountain, and then take another right. Keep following the narrow grass road and you will reach near a Shrine.
From the shrine turn right you will see a path between the mountains. Cross it and then jump in the water. You will have to swim underneath and cross a passage below water. After coming out you can climb up on a tall pillar with edges. Climb up and walk straight, cross the stairs and there will be a short cutscene. The flying colossus will appear. It will land on a pillar far from you, jump down and swim towards the pillar where the creature is sitting. Keep swimming and after crossing a pillar you will see three stone platforms on your right.
Stand on the platform and shoot a few arrows on the Colossus, it will fly towards you, you have to jump and grab the right wing. Stand on the extreme right, and grab the hairy area of the wing. Don’t attack when the creature is flying right or left words, it will tilt and you will fall. Best wait and try to reach the end of the wing, hang on tightly and then attack. Next, you have to go toward the right wing and finally to the tail to destroy the Colossus. Three attacks and it will fall down.
Defeat Colossus 6 Barba (The Goliath) – Shadow of the Colossus Walkthrough
Once you are back to the temple, once again exit from the left end side. Draw out the sword and it will point toward the right mountains. Follow the trails, and you will reach to a forest area. Keep moving on the narrow path between the woods you will reach an open area. Now cross the bridge and pass through the cave, you will reach a field.
You will have to move from the right side, follow the sword light. You will reach a structure at the side of a mountain. Get down and walk a bit and you will see a path below just above the rock platform. Go down and turn right. Climb the rocks in a path and keep following the path. You will reach a huge room, you will have to go down by climbing through the edges. Once you reach the bottom the colossus will appear. This one is a tough one to beat because it will try to throw you out when you attack.
Turn around and run towards the end of the room, climb on the wall pillars to cross them. At the end after crossing three walls, you will reach a small area with columns in it. You can hide in this place for a while, till the colossus bend down to see you. Hide behind a column and then jump on the beard to climb up. Maintain a good grip so that you can reach the soft points. Try to reach on the backside, climb up slowly, but at the same time watch the colossus movements, you have to hold him. One soft point is on the head, next is on the back near the waist. After every attack the colossus will shake his body that can easily throw you down, so keep a good hold. After attacking these two points it will fall.
Defeat Colossus 7 Hydrus (Leviathan) – Shadow of the Colossus Walkthrough
For your next target ride to the northwest side of the temple. The bridge will come on your right side. You have to take the path that goes between two columns and then cross the small bridge. As you cross the bridge look on the north and pass the mountains, this is the place where fought with the third Colossus – Gaius. Enter the path between the mountain and turn right, you will reach the lake. Go from left till you find a passage, keep moving from the foggy area and take a right turn. Take another right and exit the mountains. Next turn left, and you will find a path. There are small stone structures that will lead you to a bridge.
Go towards the pillar, you have to dismount your horse and go down. Jump on the spiral pillar and go up on the top. Jump in the water and your next target will appear. This colossus is like an electric eel fish. Stand on the half-submerged platform in the water. Jump in water to grab its attention and wait for the colossus to reach near, wait until it dives inside. You will have to grab the part of its tail. stay above it, near the head, and watch for the shock. Once you are inside the water with the colossus, wait as it floats upward. You cannot move if it is inside, it will keep on diving up and down. Move ahead and target the first soft spot.
Also be prepared to hold once it floats below the water. You just have to keep moving ahead and target the points as it goes up. This will take some time, as the colossus will keep swimming in and out. In case you lose the grip keep swimming near the colossus it will once again dive by pointing the tail upwards, that your chances to grab it. Don’t do anything until it is inside water, wait for your turn. Each electric point over its body is the soft spot you have to target. The electric lights can also hurt you, so try to dodge them by grabbing the opposite side. You will have to struggle for the head as it will keep on diving inside the murky water. Wait for your turn and attack to end the colossus.
