In a busy week for Ys Net, the specs for Shenmue 3 have been released. Read on to find out if your machine will be able to run the next installment in the cult classic series.
Developers Ys Net has revealed the recommended specs for Shenmue 3. If you have been curious about whether you would be able to run the game at decent settings with a decent framerate, then now is the time to find out.
It is all pretty standard fare for the most bit, with a couple of notes. The first is that it seems the game will only run on 64-bit Windows, so sorry to anyone still stuck in the 32-bit era. Secondly, there is a “Broadband connection required.” At the moment it is hard to know if this is down to cover the fact that physical editions of the game will have no disc, and instead come with a download code, or if the game has some form of always-online piracy protection.
Finally, the storage requirements seems a little ridiculous, clocking in at 100GB. I honestly couldn’t tell you if this is just an estimate because they haven’t figured out the total compressed sized of the game yet, or if the game’s size legitimately takes up that much hard drive space. I was sure this would be revised down from the minimum specs that were released previously, but it doesn’t seem to have happened.
Read on for a full look at the minimum and recommended specs as they stand at the moment.
