How much memory will you need on your Switch to play the game?
Super Mario Maker 2 is one of Nintendo’s biggest games of the year and is set to come out the end of June for Nintendo Switch.
With so many modes, creative options, and tools available to players, you’d think that the game would have a massive size when in comparison to other Triple-A games on the market— but you’d be mistaken.
Super Mario Maker 2’s download size is a measly 2.8GB, making it one of the smaller games on the Nintendo eshop. When you compare it to other Nintendo games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that required 13.6GB of space on the launch, it goes to show how good Nintendo is at making the size of their games as small as possible.
Compare that to a game like Rage 2 that launched recently, and you see the difference in size between the titles. Rage 2’s game size on PS4, Xbox One, and PC was closed to 40GB.
Of course, the game could always get bigger over time with the introduction of potential DLC, but it’s still a good sign for those who want to purchase the game digitally. Still, you might want to look into getting a Micro SD card for Nintendo Switch, however, if you plan to get more games for your system in the future.
