Stardew Valley has been farming simulation sensation that continues to come out with new content every so often from the dedicated work of developer Eric Barone, more commonly known as ConcernedApe on Twitter. The most recent content update was 1.4 and came out last year on Nov. 26. Barone continues to keep his nose to the grindstone to develop new ideas for the game. The next update will be 1.5, with plenty of end-game content for avid fans who more to do after completing the community center and maximizing friendship levels with all of their neighbors. So far, Barone has not formally announced a release date, but he has been hinting at content that will be on the way.
For eagle-eyed fans who have been to Willy the fisherman’s shop on numerous occasions, you likely noticed the new green door at the back of his shop in the tweet above. While Barone does not remotely hint or provide additional clues to what it could be, he does say it does link back to end-game content that players can look forward to enjoying to expand their Stardew Valley experience. We can only speculate it may lead to new fishing adventures or even a new area that players must unlock to access a unique variety of fish species.
Over the past few months, Barone has been hinting at other pieces of new content to the 1.5 update. One of them was the poll he ran where fans had the chance to choose what fruit tree would come to the game, and the winner was bananas, followed by a mango tree. Players can expect to add the banana tree to their farm after the update, along with Willy’s mysterious door that leads to more activities.
We’ll update this guide when we learn about the exact date of the update, along with any additional information that Barone shares from his twitter account.
