Wolfenstein: Youngblood is all about shooting things, blowing up things, and getting past an assortment of doors. There are lots of doors in the game, and many of them need a special item or ability to get past them. The God Key Door is the king of them all, mocking your attempts to get past it. In this guide, we tell you what you need to do to humble this particular door.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood – How To Open God Key Doors

When you find a God Key Door, it will be marked with a chevron, and if you try to interact with it, you will be told it will only open with a God Key. The only way to get this key is to play through the campaign, and you won’t get it until the final mission. So yes, these doors are things you can only get past after you have gotten yourself an exceptional ability from that final mission.

This puts whatever lays behind the doors firmly into the category of end-game content, so I assume you’ll need to decide if you want to rush the story to get at it, or take your time and find out it could have been hiding something helpful all along.

For those with good memories, you should remember that the God Key was originally at Roswell. It was used as part of an experimental plane, which crashed, and the man who found it thought it was of extraterrestrial origin. After that, B.J. Blazkowics ended up in possession of it, and he took it to Seth Roth. Roth, as a member of the Da’at Yichud, knew it wasn’t of alien origin but was unable to determine its purpose. And that’s about it; this is the next step in the lore for the God Key.

So, now you know how to open the God Key Door in Wolfenstein: Youngblood, you need to decide when you want actually to do it.
