Fortnite's Infinity Gauntlet crossover event ends tomorrow
Thanos's wild week in Fortnite: Battle Royale will come to an end tomorrow, Epic Games announced today.
The Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup will be gone for good tomorrow, May 15. The event began a week ago on May 8, allowing players to wield the Infinity Gauntlet and become Thanos in Solos.
The limited-time mode has been extremely popular. The thirst for the Gauntlet is palpable in each game. Once a player equips the Gauntlet and becomes Thanos, they can jump high into the air, punch enemies with strong attacks, and use the Power Stone to fire a powerful purple energy beam.
Thanos saw several nerfs and buffs throughout the week of the event, with changes being made to his health, shields, and damage output. In the end, Thanos had 500 health and 200 shields. Shields would regenerate upon an elimination while health did not regenerate at all.
This groundbreaking event opens up the door for other crossovers in the future for Fortnite, as two of the biggest names in the world joined up for a week full of fun. The possibilities for what else can be added to Fortnite as a limited time mode are endless.
