Few months ago, an Xbox One S Fortnite bundle was announced similarly to what happened with Nintendo Switch and PS4.

While it’s a little bizarre that a free to play game gets bundled with a console, you should know that there’s a portion of Fortnite which is actually paid.

The co-op mode Save the World, the original Fortnite experience, is indeed still available with a regular charge (if you want to play that mode specifically and not the famous Battle Royale).

Interestingly, an accident has happened in the Xbox One S bundle with the game, where a voucher claims it features the full Fortnite experience while it’s just a code to unlock the Battle Royale download.

So basically, this bundle claims to have been built with the Save the World mode integrated into it, while it’s not.

Users have reported the issue and Epic Games has already provided a statement about the matter on Reddit.

Summing it up, the developer apologies for the misleading communication and says it’s working to identify those players who’ve purchased the bundle in order to grant them free access to Save the World.

“We agree that the messaging on the Xbox One S Fortnite Bundle was unclear and so will be granting free access to Save the World for those who purchased the bundle,” the note says.

“We are going to begin identifying players who have claimed the Eon Bundle and will be granting their accounts access to Save the World. We will also make sure that all future players who claim the Eon Bundle will be granted access to Save the World moving forward.

If you already had purchased Save the World and claimed the Eon Bundle, we will be granting you an additional 2,000 V-Bucks.”

This is just the best way you can work around mistakes like this, and we’re glad Epic is doing its best and not simply leaving those people behind for money’s sake.
