GiantWaffle Breaks World Streaming Record by Streaming for 572 Hours in November

GiantWaffle World Streaming Rercord 572 Hours

Twitch streamer, Andrew “GiantWaffle” Bodine, broke a streaming record on Dec. 1 by streaming nearly 573 hours throughout November.

He had officially broken the record for the number of hours streamed in a month, announced yesterday on Twitter. Bodine streamed for roughly 19 hours every day for 30 days. His hard work built up to 572 hours and 44 minutes of streaming. The previous record, held by Jackson “JayBigs” Bigsby, was set at 569 back in August 2019. Bodine knew the bar he had to clear and leaped for it.

Bodine played a variety of games during his journey, including newer releases such as Death Stranding and Luigi’s Mansion 3, among other titles such as Rocket League and Factorio

“Streaming 19 hours a day isn’t healthy," Bodine told Kotaku after accomplishing the feat. "It’s very obvious and I’m well aware of it. But… a lot of people trying to break records and push themselves to the limit in ways that are not seen as healthy."

Bodine claims that the effort was well worth it because his Twitch channel gained over 10,000 new subscriptions. To him, those numbers make the physical strain and stress worth it.
