Life is Strange: Before the Storm’s main storyline may have come to an end, but there’s still one episode to go before the series is considered finished for the foreseeable future.
The “Farewell” episode is available to download today on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC and follows young friends Chloe and Max as they share an emotional reunion. There’s a reunion for fans as well, with the return of voice actors Ashly Burch and Hannah Telle who reprise their roles as Chloe and Max once more for the end of the season.Â
The latest trailer shows Max and Chloe hanging out when they were much younger, digging through chests and dressing up as pirates as they used to do so often. It’s going to be a tearjerker if you’re invested in both girls’ lives, so you might want to get a box of tissues ready before jumping into this episode. Seriously, if you care anything about them you’re going to need something to wipe those eyes.Â
This isn’t the end of Life is Strange, however, not by a long shot. Jon Brooke, Vice President of Brand at Square Enix External Studios says the torch is being “passed back” to original developers Dontnod Entertainment to continue the series, who has been at work on the next Life is Strange entry for the past two years.
“We look forward to sharing an exciting new story and characters in the coming months,” Brooke said.Â
The physical versions of Life is Strange: Before the Storm that were available from different retailers a month or so ago will be available tomorrow as well, so if you preordered a copy, you can snag it tomorrow to really celebrate the end of Chloe and Max’s story.Â
