Nintendo has announced Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are going VR soon.

The games will be receiving a free update that will allow you to use them with the upcoming Nintendo Labo VR Kit.

The Kit is releasing as soon as April 12, while the free updates are coming shortly after, on April 26 for those who own the titles.

Interestingly, Super Mario Odyssey will be supporting the virtual reality in specifically crafted modes, while Breath of the Wild will be entirely enjoyable in VR.

Here you can find all the details:

Super Mario Odyssey: Experience small areas of the Cap, Seaside and Luncheon Kingdoms in a whole new way with the Toy-Con VR Goggles. Players must collect music notes and Coins to complete objectives in three new mini-missions.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: Enjoy this epic adventure like never before—change modes at any time while adventuring to explore your favorite places with VR!

It looks like Nintendo is taking advantage of the relatively cheap Labo to look at all the opportunities VR can bring in the existing games.

In case this experiment proves successful, then we could see virtual reality have a significant impact on the future developments at the Japanese outlet.
