Australian brothers Kiah (writer-director) and Tristan (writer-producer) Roache-Turner, the creators of Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead, are back with Nekrotronic.

The film features an ancient, millennia-long battle between demons and a group of demon hunters known as Nekromancers. The demons’ latest attack takes to social media, having found a way to possess a human’s soul from their phones. The ancient order of demon hunters are losing ground, and they discover a hapless sanitation worker, Howie (Ben O’Toole) who has a power that has been passed down through generations of his family. The hunters put their faith in Howie to defeat this unending evil, at long last.

The two brothers are incredibly excited to share their film with audiences at the SciFi Film Festival on Sept. 6, at the Event Cinemas George Street, Sydney, at 6 pm. There’s a QA with filmmakers following this special screening.

“My brother and I have wanted to make a crazy-fun, Aussie comic book movie like this since we were about 12 years old and now, we’ve finally done it!” said Kiah Roache-Turner. “I’m super-stoked that we’re going to premiere at the 2019 SciFi Film festival and that Australian audiences will get to see the movie the way it was supposed to be seen: big & loud on a giant fifty-food screen!”

After Nekrotronic gets shown at the festival, there are going to be special screenings happening in select locations over the next few days. One is happening in Melbourne on Sept. 7 at 7 pm, and in Brisbane and Adelaide on Sept. 8 at 6:30 pm.

Nekrotronic is available to buy on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital platforms on Tuesday, Sept. 10 for all audiences to take home. There is plenty of bonus content and behind the scenes footage available for eager fans to learn how the brothers went through the filming process.

The film also stars Monica Bellucci, Caroline Ford, Tess Haubrich, Epine Bob Savea, and David Wenham.
