Riot Games, developer of League of Legends, has shared details about their upcoming 5v5 shooter, Valorant. It releases this year during the summertime. Before then, we have a handful of details about the game, such as some small details about the weapons and how they function in the game.

Valorant will require players to have high precision with their weapons to win matches. The better gunslingers and those who work together with their team will prove the victor. At this time, we don’t know too much about all of the guns available in the game. However, we have seen a handful of weapon sketches, and we do know all the characters are capable of using every gun available in the game.

Unlike games like Overwatch, your character can switch out weapons to have them fit your playstyle. But it’s based on an income economy, so you need to keep this in mind when seeking a particular gun to use during a match. But it does allow you to switch it up.

You may prefer a particular hero to use a revolver, while other players fancy having them equipped with an assault rifle or a heavy gun. You decide how you play the character, and you can modify them as you become better with them.

The handful of weapon sketches give us a hint of what the guns will look like when Valorant releases in the summer. You will be able to choose from a variety of choices, such as hand cannons, assault rifles, submachine guns, sniper rifles, chain guns, and shotguns.

Regardless of what weapon you choose, all that matters is how you handle your gun. A player who always lands a headshot will be able to beat another who is quicker than them, but can only hit a character’s body. Also, we see a character sneaking behind another with a knife, hinting at melee combat. With Valorant being a gun-based game, it’s likely it any form of melee combat will be extremely limited, and you may have to sneak up on your foe without them hearing anything.
