Arm Nemesis is the second Legion you can recover in Astral Chain. It’s a tough fight, so in this guide we show you how to handle the Arm Nemesis.
Arm Nemesis is the second Legion you can try to recover in Astral Chain. This nemesis is armed with some mighty fists and has some pretty surprising ranged attacks. You also have some environmental hazards to contend with during this fight, and they might trip you up.
Astral Chain: How To Beat Arm Nemesis
Arm Nemesis can be a surprisingly awkward fight and feels like a difficulty spike designed to test how well you have been paying attention to your options in combat. This guy is the tankiest boss you have run into so far, so prepare for a protracted fight.
There are a few things to be mindful of when fighting Arm Nemesis, but the first one is the strange sticky goo on the floor. You can get stuck in this, and it slows your movement a lot. You do not want to get end up wading through this, because Arm Nemesis will punish you severely by taking a large chunk of your health bar. Make sure to use your Chain Jump move if you do stray into it.
Arm Nemesis will push the pace much harder than the bosses you have run into so far. While most were designed to allow you to hold you preferred distance, this boss has a grab attack where he will pull you towards him and then do a lot of damage. He also drops a black hole from time to time, which will drag both you and your Legion towards it, allowing him to do even more damage.
Keep an eye out for his attempts to grab you, and use your Arrow Legion and gun to do damage to him from a distance. When Arm Nemesis starts to shoot at you with a strafing laser attack, roll in close to him and switch to Sword Legion and your Baton and put as much damage into him as possible. Use combos and Sync Attacks to take advantage of this opening, then roll in behind him and hit him with the Slash Attack. After you hit him twice, his strafing attack will be coming to an end, so send your Legion as far from it as you can, and then Chain Jump out.
Arm Nemesis can also do a spinning attack, where he becomes a cloud of fists and hurtles towards you. It is a good idea to use Chain Jump to dodge this attack, then switch to Arrow Legion to start picking him apart from a distance again.
To shine in this fight, you will need to continuously Chain Jump and switch Legions to do damage, and keep yourself from getting trapped in that sticky mess on the floor. It might take a minute to get used to the frantic changes, but you should have no problem with this fight when you learn the best way to punish those long attack animations, and when to duck out and use Arrow Legion.
