Black Ops 4 Zombies: Blundergat Wonder Weapon – Blood of the Dead

Blood of the Dead invited us back to Alcatraz for a final look into the darkness...it also gave us a cool Blunderbuss Wonder Weapon, I guess.
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

The Blood of the Dead Blundergat is one of the most versatile Wonder Weapons in all of Zombies’ history. It serves as the base for Acidgat and Magmagat upgrades, which brings a fun flair to the thrilling wave survival experience we all know and love.

To do the Blood of the Dead Easter egg, you’re going to need to get your hands on the Blundergat and one of those aforementioned upgrades. There are two ways to obtain the Blood of the Dead’s Wonder Weapon, though one is far more reliable than the other and will save you more (virtual) money than switching your car insurance. Here’s what you need to know to get started.

Mystery Box Method

So unlike most wonder weapons, it is actually possible to get the Blundergat through the Mystery Box. Of course, this is extremely unreliable because you could also get a different gun, wasting 950 points. If lady luck is on your side, then this method might pay off for you, but if you’re in urgent need of its righteous power to complete the Blood of the Dead easter egg, then you’ll want to tackle the second method.

Spectral Skulls – Blood of the Dead Easter Egg Method

You essentially need to hunt down and find five Spectral Skulls. Make sure you have the Spectral Shield first though, or you won’t be able to see them. If you’re unsure on how to do that, it’s the first step in unlocking the Pack-A-Punch machine so find those parts and then come back to this step.

When you’ve got the Spectral Shield, here’s where you can find the five Spectral Skulls:

  • [C-D Street] Inside the cell opposite the library entrance, sat on a toilet.
  • [Eagle Pass] On top of one of the poles outside.
  • [Docks] On top of the third pole from the left in the water.
  • [West Grounds] Halfway up the metal staircase.
  • [Rooftop] Near the Pack A Punch machine, the skull should be on the right on the corner of some wooden boxes.

To see the freakishly colored things, you’ll need to use vision mode on the shield. You’ll also need Hell’s Retriever to collect them. Not got Hell’s Retriever yet? You’ll never guess what’s behind this link.

Once you’ve collected all five skulls, head to the Warden’s Office and the Blundergat should be sat atop his desk.

We know there are a lot of links here already, but that’s to make everyone’s lives easier – so have two more: Our guides for the Acidgat and the Magmagat will save you a ton of time, as they’re crucial to getting into the endgame activities of Blood of the Dead.
