Destiny 2‘s Warmind DLC is filled with Lost Memory Fragments for you to find. It is not just a case of trying to get an achievement either. These directly tie in to the Worldline exotic sword, and a new exotic sparrow. This guide will show you where to find them all. There are 45 in total, which can take a little while to get. The guide is laid out to help you find each one in the best possible order, broken down by area.
The maps will show you the location of the fragment, as well as where we were facing. The screenshot will show you where the fragment is in the world. Using both of them in relation to each other should make it very easy to track them down in game. Different fragments need different energy types to break. Make sure you are carrying an Arc, Solar, Void, and Kinetic weapon with you if you are on the hunt for them.
Lost Memory Fragment Locations
The first memory fragment is right at the start of the first campaign level. Just turn around, and it is high on the cliff face above you.
Continue on through the Olympus Descent, and you will come to a large, brightly lit chamber filled with enemies. Kill them, then look over the edge of the large ice cliff you are standing on. There will be a ledge there with the Lost Memory Fragment on it.
The third Fragment in Olmpus Descent can be found under a Warsat that has crashed into the edge of a cliff. Careful hop down underneath it to be able to shoot it.
Right as you enter the Glacial Drift area, the first Lost Fragment is on a cliff to your left.
The second Lost Memory Fragment in this area is located beside the bridge. Just jump down onto the ice covered ledge and it will be there.
The third Fragment can be located in a building, as you progress up to the train tracks. There will be a small door in front of you, the Fragment is on a bottom shelf, to your left.
To find the next Lost Memory Fragment, leave the room and jump on top of the nearest train. From there, jump on the tower behind it and you will be able to see the Fragment on a cliff to your right.
From that same spot, you will be able to see the next Fragment, just scan along the cliff to your right and it will be there in the distance.
Jump down off the bridge to the left, onto the red Martian soil, and you will be able to see the next Fragment, which is directly under the bridge. You will need the Valkyrie weapon to be able to destroy this one. Hang on to the Valkyrie to get the next fragment as well!
For the next one, run under the bridge, towards an old dead tree on the other side. The Fragment is in the hollow top of the tree. Once again, you will need a Valkyrie weapon to destroy it.
Next, run the whole way to the end of the bridge, and jump on the last tower on the left hand side. You will be able to see, barely, the next Fragment, on a balcony on the building in front of you.
Next, jump across the tracks, all the way over the dead trees, and right to the edge of the cliff. The next Fragment will be in a crevice that runs up the cliff to your right.
The next Lost Memory Fragment can be found over the last building, at the end of the train tracks, right between two sets of lights. It can be easy to miss as it looks like a light.
Up next, head into the building ahead of you. Now, jump up on the gantry to the left, where the region chest is. The Fragment is on the gantry on the far side of the room.
Now, run up to where you fought the Ogre during the story mission, and head into that open door. The Fragment will be at the end of the first tunnel, on the right hand side.
Head up the sloped train tracks in Braytech Futuresafe, until you reach the end of the large walls. Jump on the wall to the left, then make your way down in the direction you came from. When you reach the end of the safety railings, look down into the chasm and you will see the Fragment.
Make your way to the building at the end of the tracks on the right, and jump onto the highest roof. The next Fragment is in the distance, down on what look like oil drums. You should be able to see a tiny point of light down there. It may be best to use a Sniper Rifle for this one.
The next one might be a little awkward. Jump onto the low flat building behind you, and follow the gantry down the steps. Turn around and you will see some icicles hanging off a small ledge. Jump to this, and the Fragment will be there. You can’t see it at all from the gantry, so you have to take my word for it.
Now, run the whole way down the gantry, past the blue square where the Public Events happen, until you reach the window behind Ana Bray. Jump on top the the container there, and you will be able to see the next Fragment.
Next, turn around and move back, as if you were going to go to visit Ana Bray. As you round the corner you will be able to see a large blue drum in front of you. The next Fragment is on top of that. You will need a Valkyrie weapon to destroy it.
Now, move through the small passage way behind that container, then move over to the raised area in front of you. Turn around and scan the top of the building, you should be able to spot the next Fragment there.
The next Fragment is in the alley like passage, between the beside the building that Ana Bray is in. Just jump over the small bridge and run down it, you will see the Fragment above you, about half way down the passage.
Before you leave this alley, check the wall on the far side. You will find a button that you can press. Run back out of the alley and turn right, then take the next passage. Run in the door beside the large “02” and you will see a partially open door in front of you. The next Lost Memory Fragment is in that room.
The next one can be found in the building with Ana Bray. Run in the front door, the jump over the two small walls in front of you. Turn around, and it is waiting for you on a table.
Now, turn to the right and run in the door with the flashing lights. Go up the steps towards the entrance to Rasputin. The next Fragment will be right there, beneath the effigy of the Warmind.
Aurora Reach is just through the door, past where you got the last Fragment. Run down the corridor, through the door to the very bright outside. Now, turn right, clear out the enemies and stop on the first platform. Move to the left hand side of it and crouch, and you should be able to see the Lost Memory Fragment beneath a distant platform.
Now, just run straight through all the rooms and tunnels in front of you. There is only one direction you can go, so you can’t miss this one. It will be out in the open, on a table in a hallway.
Continue on to Rasputin Mindlab. Before you drop down into it, look straight ahead. You will see the next Fragment behind a window. To the right of it is an open hatch. Jump across, sneak in the hatch and then turn left. The Fragment is waiting for you there.
Make your way through the level, up the broken pipes to the very top of the structure. Run around to the right hand side of the first platform area and then drop down to the large pipe you can see below. Move along this, keeping an eye on the roof. About half way down it you will be able to see the next Fragment. You should end up being over the broken pipes you used to climb to the top.
Head back to the top, and go through the big door, towards Rasputin. Jump across the gap, and head for the large glass doors. Turn left, and the next Fragment will be in a small alcove in there.
Then as you get closer to Rasputin, you need to make sure all enemies in the area are dead, then you can unlock the door. Venture inside, then turn left as you walk onto the first bridge. In the distance you will see another bridge, the Fragment is on there at the far left end, looking just like a light.
There is only one Fragment in Dynamo Approach. Hop on your Sparrow and make your way to the area, until you come to the large stone arch. Scan the cliffs and you will see what looks like a large radio tower cover in lights. You guessed it, the Fragment is one of those tiny lights.
Continue into the icy tunnels of Alton Dynamo. You will come to a tunnel that is brightly lit by a white light overhead, and a yellow light in front of you. Turn around, the Lost Memory Fragment is just behind you.
Continue into the room with the yellow light, and clear out any enemies. Make your way to the left hand side, right where the platform stops. On the edge of the structure, looking like a light, will be the next Lost Memory Fragment.
Stay moving deeper into Alton Dynamo, always taking right turns. You will come to a large room, filled with pillars and enemies. Clear the enemies, then make you way to the far right side of the room. The Lost Memory Fragment will be on the last pillar, towards the wall. After this 35th fragment, you can claim the Worldline Zero exotic sword.
Leave this room by going back the way you came, and you will come to a room with two bright sets of lights, and some enemies. Kill the enemies, then look up and to the right. You should be able to see a grate. Shoot it, then jump up and follow the vent. You will come to large room, go the back left of it and hit the button.
Drop back through the vent you used to get up here, and make your way through the level. Keep right, taking the brightly lit door you can see infront of you. Move through the large room filled with enemies, once again keeping right. Run down the steps and then stop at the terminal. Turn right and you will be able to see a door partially opening. The Lost Memory Fragment is behind that door, so crouch and shoot through it to the destroy it.
The next one is simple, just turn around and the Lost Memory Fragment is right behind you.
Now, head back through the large room filled with enemies, to the orange lit room that has a strange energy noise in it. Look at the ceiling, and you will notice a Fragment behind a glass panel. Climb up the rather awkward machine, turn around, and you should be able to see the Fragment and shoot it easily.
Once again, we need to head back to the big room filled with enemies. Run straight to the back wall as you come through to door, jump up on it, and you will be able to see the next Lost Memory Fragment twinkling in the distance.
The next one can be found in the same room, on the large rafters above you.
Continue on past the broken door where you previously found two Fragments. In the next room, head for the far right. One you hit the edge of the platform look up and towards the left of the room, the Fragment will be on a rafter there.
Ma’adim Subterrane (Lost Sector)
Head into the lost sector until you reach a large room, filled with walkways, that is lit up by a bright white light. Walk to the edge of the cliff in front of you and look down. You should be able to see the Fragment from here.
From where you are currently standing, if you turn to the right, the next one is right beside you.
Core Terminus (Lost Sector)
#44 and #45
The Lost Memory Fragments in the Core Terminus Lost Sector are slightly more involved that most of these, and we actually did up a guide just for them earlier today.
That’s it for the Lost Memory Fragments. You know now to the locations of all of them, and even which ones you need a Valkyrie to destroy! Best of luck on your search for memories, Guardian! If you need help with any other aspect of Destiny 2, be sure to check out our Destiny 2 Guide Hub.
