Every fighter type in UFC 4 career mode

A look at the strengths and weaknesses of each fighting style in UFC 4.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Every fighter in the UFC is different, and each competitor in the Octagon has a fighting style that corresponds with that person’s background. Fighters in the UFC have come from all different walks of life, as many who compete in the organization are trained jiu-jitsu fighters. Others, on the other hand, were amateur boxers and wrestlers before heading into the Octagon.

And as you’d might expect, each of these backgrounds affect how a fighter competes. A wrestler, for example, would be strong at grappling and attempting to put opponents into submission holds. A boxer, on the other hand, may not be as polished in the grappling category as compared to a wrestler, but would be better at striking.

In UFC 4‘s career mode, players can choose from one of several different fighting types, and each comes with both strengths and weaknesses. These styles are based upon a fighter’s background, and there are several to choose from. Here are all the different fighting types that are available in UFC 4:

Keep in mind a few other details when creating your character in UFC 4‘s career mode. One, these star ratings are pre-set layouts that your character will start out with. These star ratings can be improved upon over time as you progress your character.

Second, you can also choose to equip your character with special ‘perks’, or special abilities, during the process of choosing which fighting style to utilize. These special abilities can give your fighter a competitive edge in certain aspects of fighting. For example, the ‘Laser Focus’ perk, when equipped, adds speed and accuracy to your fighter’s punches. The perks that are available to your character are dependent on which fighting style you choose.
