Everything you need to know about Dragon Week in Pokémon Go – All spawns, 7km Egg spawns, shiny Pokémon, and raid battles

Dragons walk among us.

Pokemon GO

Dragon Week is a limited-time event in Pokémon Go that was unlocked during Pokémon Go Fest 2020. It’s one of the Ultra Unlock weeks. Attendees at the event had to complete eight global challenges to make it available, which they did in a matter of hours. While players had to have a ticket to Pokémon Go Fest 2020 to unlock the event, Dragon Week is available to everyone. It starts on July 31 at 1 pm PT and is available until Aug. 7 at 1 pm PT. Here’s everything we know about it.

Dragon-type Pokémon Spawns

There will be increased Dragon-type Pokémon spawns during the allotted event time. These spawns include:

  • Bagon (potential shiny)
  • Dratini (potential shiny)
  • Exeggutor [Alolan] (potential shiny)
  • Gible (potential shiny)
  • Horsea (potential shiny)
  • Swablu (potential shiny)
  • Trapinch (potential shiny)

Dragon-type Pokémon 7km Egg Spawns

Any 7-kilometer eggs you receive during the event will have the chance to have these Dragon-type Pokémon inside. You can receive 7-kilometer eggs by receiving gifts from trainers on your friend list. These spawns include:

  • Bagon (potential shiny)
  • Dratini (potential shiny)
  • Deino (potential shiny)
  • Gible (potential shiny)
  • Horsea (potential shiny)
  • Swablu (potential shiny)
  • Trapinch (potential shiny)

Dragon-type five-star raid Pokémon

Rayquaza will be an exclusive legendary Pokémon you can capture during the event. You can find it at five-star raids at any of the available Gym locations in your region. You will want to bring at least five other trainers to help you take it down.

New Shiny Pokémon

Deino’s shiny form will now be available for the event. You will only be able to catch Deino by hatching it from 7-kilometer eggs, so make sure to reach out to your friends to send you gifts during Dragon Week.
