How To Romance Characters In Fire Emblem: Three Houses

The way to eventually romance a character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses is to work on your Support Rank. The Support Rank basically covers how well the character likes you, and how close your relationship is. Getting your relationship to S-Rank will allow you to romance characters that have those options. Lots of different elements can contribute to your Support Rank with a character.

The choices you make while speaking to them are essential, characters who like what you have to say will like you more as a result. You can also find Lost Items to return to them. Interacting in battle is a great way to do it. Being beside each other, or heal/trading with each other should help raise your Support Rank.

There is an Advice Box in the Monastery where people ask questions, and giving the correct response will improve your Support Rank with whoever asked the question. You can also give gifts and flowers to characters. Pretty much every way you can interact with a character also affects your relationship with that character, so being mindful of their likes and dislikes and playing accordingly will get your Support Rank to where you need it to be.

Finally, remember that you can only pursue Romance options AFTER the timeskip, but you can still work on your Support Rank before it happens.
