Nano Spores are a common resource in Warframe. Used in crafting, you need them to build items such as Warframes, weapons, and even your mighty Railjack.

You can find Nano Spores on the following planets:

  • Eris
  • Neptune
  • Saturn
  • Orokin Derelict

It doesn’t matter where you want to farm these items; the best way to do it is via a Defense mission. As always, a group farming method is generally the best way to farm any resource in Warframe, but group farming on a Defense mission is a little different from a Survival mission.

Nano Spores drop from enemy loot tables and are affected by farming-Frame abilities. You can run with Nekros using his Desecrate ability, Hydroid with Pilfering Swarm, and Khora with Pilfering Strangledome to increase your chances of getting this resource. Resource Boosters also affect the drop rate and increase the amount you pick up. Finally, the Smeeta Kavat’s Charm ability increases your number of resources gathered.

For a Defense mission, it is a great idea to bring a Pilfering Hydroid or a Pilfering Khora, a Nekros for their Desecrate, a Speed Nova to have all the enemies get to the objective as fast as possible, with an optional third slot. Trinity is always a great call, as she can keep friendly units topped off with health and energy.

Cast Swarm or Strangledome on the objective, then have Nova use her ult to speed all the enemies into the area. When they die, Nekros can reroll the loot drops. This reroll should result in a large volume of Nano Spores in a short amount of time.

Thankfully, Nano Spores are one of the most accessible resources to farm, and this method maximizes your return for your time spent on the mission.
