How to get and use Primordial Affinity in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

Primordial Affinity is an important currency to acquire and keep track of in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

Every game comes with a different form of currency attached to it, and sometimes, there are multiple currencies you need to keep track of in a game. With Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, you need to keep track of gold and Primordial Affinity. Primordial Affinity is a bit harder to come by than gold, making it a higher priority in the game, and it’s pretty useful if you want to make your character stronger, especially if you need to reset your skills or rely on new stats.

How to get Primordial Affinity

You won’t find Primordial Affinity lying around as you would gold. You have to go out of your way to earn it through playing the game, and looting particular items off of enemies after you take them down. The item you want to go for is enneracts.

Enneracts are items that contain new skills for your characters. If you use them, the enneract disappears from your inventory, and your character has a new ability they can use in combat. They won’t immediately be able to use it, though. They have to use the correct weapon, such as a bow, pistol, sword, daggers, stave, a greatsword, or an ax. If you’re using the proper weapon you can use the skill. When you find an enneract you already have, return to Stormfall – Palace District and speak to Demetra. You can sell her your enneracts, and she’s going to give you Primordial Affinity for your trouble.

How to use Primordial Affinity

You want to conserve your Primordial Affinity for two reasons. A big reason is that it’s the currency you use to reset your passive skills. When you want to try a new build with your current character, rather than starting over, you can use Primordial Affinity to give you all of those points back and start overꟷthe amount of Primordial Affinity you need changes based on how many passive points you use through leveling.

The alternative use for Primordial Affinity is to level up your skills. Typically, you level up your skills by having them equipped to your character and playing the game, taking out enemies. However, if you want to speed up this process and automatically level them you can visit Demetra in the Stormfall – Palace District and have her level them up for you. The amount you need varies based on what level the skill is when you speak to her. A higher level skill requires more Primordial Affinity than a lower level one does.

Demetra also has skills for sale. You can purchase any she has available using gold. You can teach these skills to your character to try them out when you want to develop a new build for them. Resetting your passives is a far better alternative than consistently starting over with a new character.
