Madden Ultimate Team or MUT as the community calls it, is back once again in Madden NFL 19. MUT comes with a significant change and one that is very welcomed by players like me. Long passed are the days of trying to grind and get that specific rated player you want. This guide will show you how to upgrade a MUT player.
Pick Your Player
The first thing you want to do is pick the player you want to upgrade. Your choice will vary depending on what position is your weakest or if you have a favorite player you want to keep around for a little bit longer. This is best done by going to Sets and selecting the desired player.
Use Training Points
After selecting the player to upgrade, select Upgrade in the top menu option for the player. You will be taken to the player profile where you can asses the proper amount of training points to upgrade your player. Training Points only go so far, as some players will need an additional player card that can be found in packs, traded for, or bought in the auction house. The better the upgrade, the more training points you will need.
Getting Training Points
Training Points can be acquired several ways in MUT. Currently, they are not available for purchase in the MUT Store. One way of getting training points is by completing Solo Matches and earning Training Points as a reward. Another way to earn Training Points is to complete Training Camp matches in the Solo Matches playlist.
Now that you know how to upgrade a MUT player, you can save your MUT coins to purchase packs or get that prized player you have an eye on in the auction house. I recommend saving up for a good kicker as they are always a hot commodity.
