Fighting in Pokemon Masters works a bit differently than it does in the traditional games. It’s more a real-time fighting scene, rather than trainers taking time to think about what they want to do for their turn. While in combat, trainers can have their Pokemon become even stronger through Mega Evolution. The game does not explain this mechanic, which we’re going to share how you can do it to make those tougher fights significantly easier.

How to Mega Evolve in Pokemon Masters

When you’re in a battle, there is no direct option or ability for a Pokemon to Mega Evolve. You may not even know which can do it. When you do, you’re going to see their appearance and their name change during the fight. When you figure this out, you’re going to want to have them mega evolve as soon as possible in a battle to make their attacks and stats skyrocket.

To have a Pokemon Mega Evolve, you need to have them perform their Sync move during the fight. Not only are they going to hit your opponent’s Pokemon for a considerable amount of damage, but they’re also going to become stronger now that they’re in a new form. You can use this to your advantage while engaging in a tough fight, making the outcome far different. You want to optimize on this knowledge by having your Pokemon use abilities that only need a single move gauge.

So far, these are the list of known Pokemon who can Mega Evolve in Pokemon Masters. This list may change as the developers introduce new Pokemon to go the game.

  • Agatha and Gengar
  • Blue and Pidgeot
  • Bugsy and Beedrill
  • Karen and Houndoom
  • Korrina and Lucario
  • Noland and Pinsir
