Remnant: From The Ashes – How To Survive The Citadel’s Curse, Find The Wastelander Flail

The Wastelander Flail is on Rhom, the game’s second playable area. Unfortunately, due to the game’s random generated nature, it is not possible to give precise directions. But the dungeon does spawn in the first area you arrive in after reaching Rhom. The outside of the dungeon shares a similar architecture to the Invisible Tower you discover on Earth.

You know you have the right place when you enter you get scanned by lasers and inflicted with the Citadel’s Curse. The Citadel’s Curse causes a slow drain on your health, and the only way to cure it is to either reach the Clean Room or die.

To reach the Clean Room, make your way to the end of the dungeon. Thankfully, it is not particularly long, consisting of a few rooms and hallways. Enemies are everywhere, and they’re meant to slow you down, even if you don’t take damage from them.

The good news is that Citadel’s Curse has an upside. As you kill enemies, you get healed. This passive effect allows you to pick up the pace and to worry less about taking damage. The best way to get to the Clean Room is to smash your way through with a melee weapon. Trades become incredibly advantageous, as enemies don’t put out enough damage to kill you because of the health you get back from killing them.

Do take care, though, as a lull in the action between rooms leaves you dangerously low on health. You might need to pop a few heals to make it through. Once you arrive at the Clean Room, grab the Wastelander Flail, and you are free to leave.
