Hatching eggs is a staple of the Pokémon series, but it can certainly be a bit of a chore. In this guide, we will show you the fastest way to hatch eggs in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

To speed up the egg hatching process, you will need a Pokémon in your party that has the Flame Body ability. Now, head for the Day Care Center in the Wild Area, and ensure you have your camera settings on regular. To do this, hold X, go to options, and then scroll down. Both vertical and horizontal camera controls will need to be set to regular.

This is a little hard to explain, but the video above will give you a demonstration of what you need to do. Hold both the left and right joysticks to the left, so that your character travels around in a circle. This will allow your character to get a lot of steps, which will combine with the Flame Body ability to increase the hatching speed of the egg. You should be able to hatch up to five eggs in 10 minutes using this method.

If you don’t want to sit there and hold the controller all that time, you can use rubber bands to hold the joysticks in place. This is a handy technique to use if you are trying to get Shiny Pokémon using the Masuda Method for egg breeding. (But use this technique at your own risk.)
