World of Warcraft Classic first aid leveling guide

Become the ultimate healer with our WoW Classic First Aid leveling guide.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

There’s really no reason why you shouldn’t pursue and level up your First Aid skill in World of Warcraft Classic. For one, keeping yourself alive is paramount to just about any situation, and two: it doesn’t take up one of the two profession slots, so there’s no downside to it.

Approximate Resources Needed

First, let’s get to what resources you will need, total, to level up your First Aid, and how many of each you will need, approximately.

  • Linen Cloth x170
  • Wool Cloth x180
  • Silk Cloth x150
  • Mageweave Cloth x120
  • Runecloth x80

Trainer Locations

You will, of course, need to speak with a First Aid trainer to start on your journey to First Aid mastery, so be sure to seek out one of the following trainers, depending on your faction:

Alliance Trainers:

  • Dannelor – Craftsmen’s Terrace in Darnassus
  • Nissa Firestone – Great Forge in Ironforge
  • Michelle Belle – Goldshire in Elwynn Forest
  • Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen – Theramore in Dustwallow Marsh
  • Byancie – Dolanaar in Teldrassil
  • Fremal Doohickey – Menethil Harbor in Wetlands
  • Thamner Pol Kharanos – Dun Morogh

Horde Trainers:

  • Arnok – Valley of Spirits in Orgrimmar
  • Pand Stonebinder – Spirit Rise in Thunder Bluff
  • Mary Edras – Rogues’ Quarter in Undercity
  • Doctor Gregory Victor – Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands
  • Nurse Neela – Brill in Tirisfal Glades
  • Rawrk – Razor Hill in Durotar
  • Vira Younghoof – Bloodhoof Village in Mulgore

First Aid Leveling

Levels 1 – 40
x50 Linen Bandage – x50 Linen cloth

Levels 40 – 80
x50 Linen Bandage – x50 Linen cloth
Once you reach level 75, you will need to talk to your trainer again to keep leveling to 150.

Levels 80 – 115
x60 Wool Bandage – x60 Wool Cloth

Levels 115 – 150
x60 Heavy Wool Bandage – x120 Wool Cloth

You will now want to find Deneb Walker (Alliance) or Balai Lok’ Wein (Horde) in Dustwallow Marsh to purchase Expert First Aid – Under Wraps, Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage, and Manual: Mageweave Bandage. You can also buy these books from the Auction House if you want.

Use Expert First Aid – Under Wraps to continue making Silk Bandages. Otherwise, you will have to go back to see your trainer.

Levels 150 – 180
x50 Silk Bandage – x50 Silk Cloth

Levels 180 – 210
x50 Heavy Silk Bandage – x100 Silk Cloth

Use Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage to learn how to make, well, Heavy Silk Bandage.

Levels 210 – 225
x30 Mageweave Bandage – x30 Mageweave Cloth

Use Manual: Mageweave Bandage to learn how to make these.

Triage Quest

When you reach First Aid Level 225 and Level 35, you will have the opportunity to do either the Alliance Trauma quest or the Horde Trauma quest. Doing these quests will lead you to the Triage quest in Arathi Highlands or Dustswallow Marsh.

Once you complete this quest, you will be rewarded with Artisan First Aid.

We recommend you bring all the materials you need to level up to 290 for this next part since you will have to visit Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen (Dustwallow Marsh at Theremore Isle) or Doctor Gregory Victor (Arathi Highlands at Hammerfall) later on.

So bring x100 Mageweave Cloth and x70 Runecloth.

Levels 225 – 240
x30 Mageweave Bandage – x30 Mageweave Cloth

Levels 240 – 260
x30 Heavy Mageweave Bandage – x60 Mageweave Cloth

Speak with either of the doctors to learn the Heavy Mageweave Bandages recipe.

Level 260 – 290
x50 Runecloth Bandage – x50 Runecloth

Speak with either of the doctors to learn the Runecloth Bandages recipe.

Levels 290 – 300
x15 Heavy Runecloth Bandage – x30 Runecloth

For this final part, speak, once again, to the doctors to get the Heave Runecloth Bandages recipe.

And like that, you have mastered the art of First Aid.
