“Wait Patiently”, this is the only thing we heard from God of War (PS4) developer for the past few months when asked to share new information about the game and show some actual gameplay video. At that time, PlayStation fans didn’t understand that Cory Barlog (the Creative Director) of the new God of War game is indeed planning a big surprise for the PlayStation Community and God of War series fans.

Barlog revealed the surprise on March 19 i.e. ended the Embargo that was placed on the God of War (PS4) preview. What was the end result – over 20 to 25 minutes of unedited and never seen before God of War (PS4) gameplay has been released which shows how brutal the combat is going to be in the game. Secondly, a ton of new information about the game has been revealed. In this post, we are going to talk about what Cory Barlog has to say about the Difficulty Settings and the Campaign length of the new God of War (PS4) game.

God of War (PS4) Has 4 Difficulty Setting

God of War (PS4) is going to have 4 Difficulty Setting (in order) – 1) Give Me A Story, 2) Give Me A Balanced Experience, 3) Give Me A Challenge, and 4) Give Me God of War.

Give Me God of War is the hardest difficulty setting that will be available in the game. Once you have selected the game on that difficulty level you can’t lower it afterward, but that’s not the case with other 3 difficulty settings. Also, Give me God of War difficulty setting has a separate save.

God of War (PS4) Chain Attack

What’s more interesting about this Give Me God of War difficulty setting is that it isn’t simply an algorithmic increase in difficulty. According to Cory Barlog: “We did a ton of stuff to make it (Give Me God of War Difficulty) a genuine challenge, not a cynical increase. Enemies are all changed up. We changed the attack patterns of things; it’s hugely different.”
