It’s official: Sunset Overdrive is releasing today for Windows 10 PC.

The game is going to be published by Microsoft but it’s not a Microsoft Store exclusive, as it is dropping today on Steam, too.

The new version of the action adventurer has received a launch trailer you can check out below, and more details will come today as part of the weekly This Week On Xbox appointment.

Sunset Overdrive Releasing Today For Windows 10 PC

The news was provided by Microsoft’s Major Nelson and echoed by Insomniac Games itself on Twitter, which means the pair is still working together on this despite the IP is owned by the developer.

Physical copies will be sold in partnership with THQ Nordic, which is already partnering with Microsoft for other Steam releases as Super Lucky’s Tale and ReCore.

At this moment we don’t really know the specs of the latest version, even though it does lack an Xbox One X official patch and we’ve been told these system requirements:

Sunset Overdrive Minimun PC System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 7 SP1 or higher
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.0hz || AMD-FX-6300
  • GPU: Geforce 750 Ti || AMD Radeon R7 260X
  • HDD Space: 30 GB

Sunset Overdrive Recommended PC System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 4690 @ 3.5hz || AMD-FX-8350
  • GPU: Geforce 970 or Geforce GTX 1060 || AMD Radeon R9 290x or Radeon RX 480
  • HDD Space: 30 GB

Price should be around $19,99 as per a previous Amazon’s leak. Rumors of a sequel have always been debunked and Insomniac has repeatedly stated that it needed a new publisher in order to make it happen.

With things evolving at Microsoft Studios and the desire of Xbox players for new single-player titles, though, there could be more room for a second chapter to drop on the next Xbox and Windows.
