THQ Nordic has acquired Kingdom Come Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios, the publisher has announced today.
THQ Nordic has acquired Kingdom Come Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios, the publisher has announced today.
All intellectual properties, included Kingdom Come, are included in the deal, which amounts in a total of 42.8 million euro.
Warhorse Studios will keep work independently under the label Koch Media, and founders Daniel Vavra (Kingdom Come creative director) and Martin Klima will remain in their current roles.
“Warhorse Studios is one of the leading independent studios in Europe and I am proud to welcome them to the THQ Nordic group,” Lars Wingefors, CEO of THQ Nordic AB, said in a press release.
“Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which has now sold over two million copies, has been a great success since the release exactly one year ago. I look forward to continue working with the founders who will continue managing the studio under strong creative freedom for many years to come.”

It’s great to see the Kingdom Come developer been assured it will be able to keep doing games, which is something you never know when you reach Kickstarter.
Deliverance has performed rather well, as said with two million copies sold across PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and we can’t wait to see more coming from the dev team.
