According to the studio, a “flight” is also expected to drop on PC, but that’ll take more time to prep the dedicated UI up.
“PC, as you can imagine, is a different beast,” the developer wrote in a blog post over at Halo Waypoint.
“And we want to ensure that the first flight has adequate PC-specific UI in place, which takes time. We don’t expect a particularly big gap in time, but we are going to flight on Xbox One first (possibly even another flight on there too, depending on timing) before Halo: Reach PC flighting begins.”
Halo Reach will be coming as part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection on both PC and Xbox One, even though it still doesn’t feature a precise release date nor a price.
On consoles, it’ll be delivering free access to multiplayer and firefight only to owners of the MCC, while Xbox Game Pass will get it complete of the story mode, too.
On PC, it’ll be releasing on both Microsoft Store and Steam, but it won’t feature Xbox Play Anywhere support, so you’ll be required to purchase it again even if you already own it on Xbox One.
Its release on the platform will be followed shortly by Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, ODST and Halo 4, within this year.
