Next month’s issue of CoroCoro will have the latest information on Pokémon Sword and Shield.

CoroCoro is a Japanese magazine that is known for releasing new information on upcoming video games. The Pokémon franchise has been releasing new information on the magazine for years now. Fans usually assume that once a new Pokémon game is announced, CoroCoro will be the first place to check up to see any news on the game.

Pokémon Sword and Shield were first announced back at February and since then very little has been unveiled of the game. We’ve seen the new the starter Pokémon and got a good look what the new region Galar will be, clearly looks like Great Britain inspires it.

Even the monthly issues of CoroCoro mostly reiterated the same information that the reveal trailer showed off.

The website Serebii, home of all things that concerns Pokémon, reveal that next month’s issues with have information related to Sword and Shield. They revealed this news on their Twitter account.

Serebii Update: The next issue of Japanese magazine, CoroCoro Ichiban, due out next month, is stated to have the “Latest Information for Pokémon Sword & Shield”.

Next month’s issue will come June 21, a week after E3. It’s possible the information that CoroCoro will share will be the same as the new information that this year’s E3 will have.

In other news related to Pokémon Sword and Shield, it appears that customizing characters will still be an option. There was a competition recently in Japan where fans were allowed to customize their own Pokémon t-shirt. The winning t-shirt will go on sale eventually.

However, as revealed by Serebii, the winning t-shirt will also be available for the playable trainers to wear within Pokémon Sword and Shield. The winning shirt is a stylized tee featuring Magikarp and Gyarados.

Serebii Update: The winning T-Shirt in the recent Uniqlo competition is to be added to Pokémon Sword & Shield as custom clothing. In addition to this, it has confirmed that Trainer Customisation is in the game. Details

This appears to confirm that customizing trainers is returning to Sword and Shield, though there was little doubt that wouldn’t be the case. Customizing trainers has been staple within the series since Pokémon X and Y; it was even a feature it Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. It makes sense for it to remain in the latest entry of Pokémon.

Pokémon Sword and Shield is expect to release later this year. We expect more information to be revealed in this year’s E3.
