The behind closed doors demo of Cyberpunk 2077 earned it numerous Game of the Show awards for the second year in a row at E3 2019.

That being said, the game was shown in completely optimal conditions and on a mighty PC to give the influencers and media viewing it the absolute highest quality experience.

CD Projekt Red gave Spiel Times the exact specs for their demo build PC after the conference.

Cyberpunk 2077 E3 2019 Demo PC Specs

  • CPU: Intel i7-8700K @ 3.70 GHz
  • Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-I GAMING
  • RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V, 2x16GB, 3000MHz, CL15
  • Graphics Processor: Titan RTX
  • Storage: Samsung 960 Pro 512 GB M.2 PCIe (SSD)
  • Power Supply: Corsair SF600 600W

This is a very powerful build, but as previously stated, it allowed the developers to show everyone the optimized version of their game. A team of programmers probably spent a good chunk of time simply perfecting that demo for that rig to ensure it ran as well as it possibly could.

CD Projekt Red gave those lucky enough to score an appointment to view the 50-minute, hands-off demo an amazing show. After the spectacle that was last year’s demo, this time they didn’t just coattail off of it and instead gave everyone exactly what they wanted.

Specifically, it jumped into the nitty gritty of the game, giving an active look at all of the menu, functions, and a large portion of gameplay to digest. They showcased dialogue options, the inventory, upgrade options, and so much more – and from the raving media members, it was 100 percent CD Projekt Red, which is a great thing. The demo even featured Keanu Reeves’ character and explained just how he would fit into the story of Cyberpunk 2077.

Fans will be able to see this demo at some point this year when the devs bring it to another conference. The speculation right now is that it will be shown off at Gamescom 2019 in Cologne, Germany from Aug. 21 to 24. That isn’t confirmed, but the length of the demo seems like it would lend itself more to Gamescom rather than a PAX style event. Especially considering CD Projekt Red are based out of Poland.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020.
