Move over Baby Yoda—Battlefront II is delivering the Star Wars hype now.

Battlefront II receiving a Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker content release today. The content is a free update, available to everyone who owns the game.

For fear of spoilers leaking about the upcoming Rise of Skywalker film, the new map has not released to the game. It will arrive on Dec. 20, after the film officially releases.

This content drop includes:

  • A new location set on a Jungle World. You can play this location in the Co-Op mode as the Resistance or the First Order later on in the month
  • New Reinforcements: The Sith Trooper, Aerial First Order Trooper, and a Gunner and Spy Unit for the Resistance
  • New Hero appearances for Kylo Ren, Finn, and Rey inspired from The Rise of Skywalker

All of this is available today, though you won’t immediately have access to the character appearances, since you’ll need to unlock them.

However, those who own The Celebration Edition, released on Dec. 5, have access to the content immediately. That version came with a hefty amount of content for any Star Wars fan to enjoy, including over 350 customization options, along with the new hero appearances and, naturally, the base game.

For the better part of two years, developers DICE has been hard at work attempting to regain the faith of fans for the series through releases like this. When Battlefront 2 first launched in 2017, many fell off the game due to the absurdity of the microtransactions, and how player progression was tied to random loot crates.

DICE has done a great deal to regain that trust, such as including new Co-Op gameplay and missions, creating a fan-favorite game mode called Capital Supremacy, and adding eras like the Clone Wars.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker releases in theaters Dec. 20.
