The first world premiere to hit during Microsoft’s E3 conference was the announcement of a Blair Witch game.

The footage showed off the main character going into a forest during 1996. He was navigating the woods with a small camera recorder in hand, a German Shepherd named Bullet. The two were navigating the woods looking for others who had gone missing.

It wasn’t long before supernatural-like forces began to surround them, chasing after the two of them. From what it looked like, it seemed the main character met their end. However, the camera would zoom back into the recorder and start over from the beginning. It could be hinting at how death is going to get handled in the game, forcing players to relearn what the AI is going to do and adjust from there,

The game is being developed by Bloober Team, the creative minds behind Layers of Fear. The game is going to have a lot of influence from the 1999 movie, The Blair Witch Project.

Blair Witch launches on Xbox One and PC on August 30.
