Treyarch has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout is increasing its player count from the original 80 to 88, by a 10% factor, as it approaches the private beta on PS4 and soon on PC/Xbox One.
The player cap has been increased as part of the latest update for the Blackout battle royale mode, reflecting the previous statements of the studio about the chance to get closer and closer to 100 users around the final release.
Here’s the full changelog:
General:
Changed Featured Playlist to DUOs.
Raised player cap to 88.
General stability and stat-tracking improvements.
Quick equip menu will automatically close if not used for 5 seconds.
Item Pickups
Increased the speed of picking up Items off of the ground – you will still be able to reload your weapon independently without picking an Item up by tapping the reload button.
Equipment
Reduced duration of Sensor Dart to 2 minutes
Studio design director Vonderhaar has confirmed the news on Twitter, although he didn’t provide any more intel about how that has been possible nor which changes this step up has required.
Duos is the Featured Playlist. Max players increased from 80 to 88. Let’s party.
