A new gameplay trailer for Catherine: Full Body shows off the game’s updated graphics, cinematics, and sets up the story of the game as Vincent struggles with his feelings about marrying Katherine
We get to take a look at 10 minutes of Catherine: Full Body’s first hour in a new gameplay trailer. We don’t get too much in the way of puzzle-based gameplay, but we do see how the story gets set up and a look at the in-game engine.
Catherine: Full Body is a remastered version of the original game, Catherine. This mature puzzle platformer stars Vincent Brooks who remains hesitant to marrying his long-time girlfriend, Katherine. One night at his favorite stop, he meets a woman there named Catherine, and the two have a one-night affair. The story follows a series of choices where Vincent has to choose between the two women. At night, Vincent is dreaming about having to climb a massive tower, and should he fall he dies in real-life. The story features numerous choices for the player, among having to complete increasing challenging platform puzzles.
The developers first announced the remastered game in December 2017. There’s going to be several new gameplay features, including new story elements, such as a third love interest named Qatherine/Rin, as well as an online competitive mode. Catherine: Full Body already released in Japan on February 14, but the North American and European version of the game is set to release on September 3.
You can pre-order the game right now for the PlayStation 4. It’s set to release as a full-priced game, so expect to pay $59.99 for the launch version, and $79.99 for the premium edition. The premium edition comes with a sheep plush, a metal case for the game, a collector’s box, a soundtrack CD, and a hardcover art book. Those who pre-order the standard launch game are also going to receive the metal case for the game, along with a physical CD.
