Of course, this listing doesn’t officially confirm Cyberpunk 2077’s presence at the show, but it’s a safe bet that we’ll be hearing more about the game this summer. And unless the studio has been hard at work on some sort of secret, unannounced project, this RPG nearly has to be Cyberpunk 2077. We’ve been waiting a long time to glean some more details about the game from CD Projekt RED, so if all goes well we’ll only have to wait another month and a half until all, or some, becomes clear.
If you remember, we first heard about the game all the way back in 2013, which feels like ages beyond the five years it actually is. We’ve heard just about nothing since then, unfortunately, despite plenty of opportunities for CD Projekt RED to surprise us.
The wait is excruciating, though. Good news—if it’s a cyberpunk future you’re looking for, you need only wait until the end of May for a dip into the world of androids and similar narrative convention. Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human is out on PlayStation 4 on May 25, and it should scratch that same itch rather nicely.
