Take a test drive with Konami’s returning action series.
For those players that are on the fence about Konami’s latest Contra game, Rogue Corps, there’s a chance to take it for a test drive before its release later this month.
The publisher has announced that it has released a special demo for Rogue Corps, which is free and available for download now across all platforms – PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It gives players a taste of the mayhem that awaits them when they step foot into the Damned City.
Here are the details on the demo, straight from the publisher:
“The demo will showcase the single-player campaign of the twin-stick, third-person action game, including a playable preview of one of the many large-scale boss battles that will be a part of the final version of the game. Players will complete missions, gathering resources to upgrade their guns and body parts to stay alive in the Damned City. If all else fails, players can bring in a friend online to the campaign and mow-down enemies together. Players will also have access to a local couch co-op mode and a unique online player-versus-player mode called ‘Carnage League.’
“Featured within the demo is a new gameplay trailer, which will show never-before-seen footage from Contra: Rogue Corps. The demo level is standalone, and progress will not be carried over to the main game on release.”
This will give fans the chance to see if the new Contra suits their needs. And if it doesn’t, well, at least there’s Contra Anniversary Collection to tide them over, which came out earlier this year.
Contra: Rogue Corps releases on September 24 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
