According to a conversation CD Projekt RED has entertained with a fan over Facebook, Cyberpunk 2077 is going to feature a deep stealth component, that will allow you to choose the approach you prefer the most to the action.
As it was revealed at E3 2018, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to be a first-person shooter most and foremost, although it is retaining the role-playing and open world magic that has made the developer and The Witcher series so appreciated.
Luckily enough, the game will allow us to choose our approach to the action and, as we’ve already reported in the five things we learned about the title at E3, This will be quite similar to Deus Ex in terms of planning and silently executing.
“Enemies won’t always be aware of the player. The player can utilize this to their advantage by sneaking up on unsuspecting enemies, laying various traps or deploying viruses. The plan of attack is just as important as executing it,” the studio says, as shared by a fan on Reddit.
“We never force players to adopt any particular style of combat, so they’re always free to use what they think is the best possible solution at a given time. From shooting through walls, to bending bullets over corners – stealth tactics are also a part of your repertoire.”
Cyberpunk 2077 is still lacking a release date, but it’s reassuring that it was awarded a commendation at E3 2018 because of its Innovation and the quality of its Graphics (things that hint, again, at a possible next-gen launch).
