In a tweet, CD Projekt RED has confirmed Cyberpunk 2077 won’t receive a beta.
A fan asked the Polish developer about the opportunity to give the game a try before it releases, and was answered this way:
We have no plans for closed/open beta.
The game was reported to be looking into some specifically tailored multiplayer or online component, but it doesn’t look like it’s happening, by judging from this tweet.
Anyway, there’s still a lot of time before it actually drops on the store shelves, so a lot could still change by that time.
We’ve only watched Cyberpunk 2077 in action once, slightly after Gamescom this August, and it looked brilliant.
Anyway, it looked very ‘single-player’ at that time, so you wouldn’t need a beta for this type of first-person action RPG experience.
We’ll report on that, of course, as soon as more news about the topic reach the net.
We have no plans for closed/open beta.
