The Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls Remastered will be delayed until the Summer.
Bandai Namco said on social media that the game needed additional improvements before it could be released. The PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the title will still be launching on the original release date of May 25.
The Solaire of Astora Amiibo, which was originally set to be released on May 25 alongside the game, will also be postponed and will come out this Summer with the Switch version.
Dark Souls Remastered was revealed at the start of the year in a surprise Nintendo Direct Mini. The game was the first Dark Souls title to be available on a handheld device in the series’ history.
The remastered version has vast technical improvements over the original game, with 4K support for the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro. The Nintendo Switch version has a resolution of 1080p while docked but will drop down to 720p when in handheld mode. The Switch version will also run at 30 frames per second (fps) instead of the standard 60fps.
