Days Gone reviews have not been that positive thus far, as you can see by yourself on Metacritic where it has achieved slightly less than a 70/100, but that’s not harming its sales at least on the short term.

The title was released on Friday, April 26 so only had a few hours available to reach the top of sales charts, but has managed to so in the United Kingdom, as shared by our colleagues at Eurogamer.
Bend Studio’s game has indeed managed to become UK 2019’s biggest launch so far, as for what matters the physical sales. That’s very impressive if you consider it has been achieved over a couple of days and the PS4 exclusive is a brand new intellectual property.
Days Gone has beaten sales of giants like Resident Evil 2, Far Cry New Dawn and The Division 2, all coming from already established franchises, but not of other PS4 exclusives God of War and Marvel’s Spider-Man (also coming from well-known IP).
Mortal Kombat 11, another popular intellectual property, debuted in the second place while last week’s leader World War Z dropped to number 10. You can check the full chart below, courtesy of Chart-Track’s data which, reminder, don’t count digital sales.
