Indeed, as revealed by producer Okabe, the battle music will be changed depending on your Style rank. When your Style rank increases, the chorus of the song will start playing, for example.
It’s a feature we’ve already seen in other action games such as DmC Devil May Cry by Ninja Theory, the newly purchased Microsoft studio, and Metal Gear Rising Revengeance by Platinum Games.
So while it’s nothing groundbreaking, it’s neat that we’ll get a chance to see the game and its world react somehow to the things we do while playing. Hopefully, there’ll be something more to add on that as we get closer to the release.
Devil May Cry V will launch before the end of March 2019 and will be already playable at Gamescom 2018 this August, so if you are in Koln, Germany in a couple months be sure to check it out.
In an interview with Gamespark, producer Okabe confirmed that battle music will change depending on your Style rank. For example, when your Style rank increases, the chorus of the song will start playing.
