Dual Universe is a sci-fi MMORPG that considers itself a civilization builder. Think of every other sandbox survival game you’ve played, move it into space, and replace small lots with entire planets. The developers at Novaquark have released a roadmap outlining the next couple of years of Dual Universe‘s development on its way to an anticipated launch date sometime in 2020.

Kickstarter supporters of Dual Universe will be allowed access to an early alpha build this November. This early access alpha will continue throughout next year as Novaquark develops the game with the support and feedback of its alpha testers. A beta is planned for early 2020 with an official release later that year. Of course, these dates are subject to change, and Novaquark CEO, Jean-Christophe Baillie, talks about Dual Universe‘s development in this roadmap announcement video.

With a total investment of over 11 million dollars, Novaquark has a lot of work ahead and it, and we’re looking forward to seeing how Dual Universe comes along through its early alpha and beta leading up to its release in 2020.
