Electronic Arts has just announced Origin Access Premier, a brand new subscription service for PC gamers using the Origin digital distribution platform. It was discussed on stage during today’s EA Play 2018 presentation, and it should offer a great new way to experience most of the publisher’s upcoming titles going forward.Â
Origin Access Premier will feature “all of our new PC games,” according to EA CEO Andrew Wilson, in comparison to the EA Origin Access service, which already offers subscribers the ability to play early trials of new titles, access to The Vault of over 100 full titles, and a 10 percent discount on any purchases made via Origin in the first place.Â
With games like Anthem, Battlefield V, and Madden NFL 19 on the horizon, it’s a great time to offer this type of service as subscribers will be able to play them ahead of their official launch. They won’t be relegated to trials, either. As soon as a game is made available on Origin Access Premier, the entirety of the game will be up for grabs for an indefinite period of time. Those are some interesting perks, that’s for sure.Â
The service will launch this summer for $14.99 per month, or $99.99 a year. You can opt for vanilla Origin Access as well for $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. Members will also receive the same benefits afforded to them with the regular Origin Access Basic membership, as well as the 100 games in the Vault, including titles like Battlefield 1 and the entirety of the Batman: Arkham Asylum series.Â
Looking for a way to save money on games this year? It’s a service you might want to think about signing up for.
