Jeremy Soule has confirmed via Facebook that he is not returning to compose for Elder Scrolls VI. Jeremy Soule has composed the soundtrack for the last three Elder Scrolls game: Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. He stated on Facebook that Bethesda has not approached him to work on the Elder Scrolls 6, next game in the franchise. You can read the full statement of Jeremy Soule below.

Jeremy Soule Not Composing Elder Scrolls VI Soundtrack

“As so many of my fans have asked… While I’ve not said much about this out of courtesy to Bethesda, I would never turn my back on TES, and I believe that my involvement would hinge on a creative decision on their part and where they want to take the franchise. To confirm, I am currently not involved with TES VI.”

The announcement did not go down well with the Jeremy and Elder Scrolls series fans and they started commenting in his support, but Soule assured the community that his non-involvement is not going to affect the quality of the game or the soundtrack at all.

“I appreciate the support! Thanks, everyone! But whoever they have hired or may hire will deliver something special for TES VI. I’m certain they can still deliver a great game with or without my involvement”.

There was no update from Bethesda on who is going to compose the soundtrack of Elder Scrolls VI.

Elder Scrolls VI was officially announced at E3 2018. Sadly, no release window was provided at that time and this status continues to remain the same. Bethesda and Zenimax have clarified multiple times that Elder Scrolls VI is not coming out anytime soon.

In a recent interview with our friends at Gamespot, Zenimax’s Matt Firor said this about Elder Scrolls VI release window.

“The easiest thing is to look at how it was announced; it was Starfield and then [The Elder Scrolls 6]. You can go back and count the years between Bethesda Game Studios releases, and you’ll get the idea that [The Elder Scrolls 6 is] not coming anytime soon.”

Bethesda Marketing Boss Pete Hines said this (in October 2018) on Elder Scrolls VI release window:

“[The Elder Scrolls VI] is big and it’s ambitious, but also … the most important thing to underscore is that the timeline between products that you get from BGS is not any different than it has been historically just because we’ve talked about two games after Fallout 76,” Hines said.

“I try really hard to manage people’s expectations. It’s not like ‘Fallout 76 this year, Starfield next year, and then TES6 the year after.’

The timeline isn’t any different. What’s different is just trying to be transparent and say, ‘Don’t freak out, the next thing we’re doing is single-player [in Starfield], [and] we are making TES6.”
