Alolan Marowak is receiving its own raid day in Pokémon Go, just in time for Halloween. The raid day will be happening on Saturday, October 31 from 11 AM to 5 PM in your time zone. Trainers will have the opportunity to find plenty of Alolan Marowaks, for those six hours, these Pokémon will overtake various Gyms all over the world.

For those who battle and capture Alolan Marowak during the raid day, it will know the exclusive charge move shadow bone. Alolan Marowak does not traditionally learn this move, and it’s a good choice. We’ve broken down how it fares in the Pokémon’s overall moveset, and if you want another reliable Pokémon to use in the Great League, an Alolan Marowak that knows shadow bone is a great choice.

If you want to battle it, and you’re level 30, you can potentially solo the Pokémon during its raid day. Alolan Marowak is a Dark and Fire-type Pokémon, making it weak to Dark, Ghost, Ground, Rock, and Water-type attacks. The best Pokémon you want to use against it include Gengar, Darkrai, Swampert, Rhyperior, Gyarados, Rampardos, Kingler, and several other choices.

Ahead of the release, Niantic is providing all trainers with a free box that contains five raid passes, and three remote raid passes. You don’t have to use these items for the event, and they are given to everyone. You only have six hours to capture this Pokémon in your timezone, so don’t miss out if you want to add it an Alolan Marowak to your collection that knows shadow bone.
