A Final Fantasy VII Remake leak has popped up on the Internet, reportedly coming from a localization branch at Square Enix shortly after the State of Play re-reveal.
The leak sheds light on the game’s composition in terms of episodes, gameplay details and also prices for each part.
It also points out that a demo is possibly releasing after E3 2019 for those at home, with PlayStation Plus required, and at E3 itself for players on the show floor. Based on this rumor, retailers have already been asked to prepare for pre-orders, which at this stage could launch right after the Square Enix showcase in June.
First of all, the game is said to be split into two parts, with the first part ending “exactly as Aerith is let down into the water after her death and a fade to black.”
Each part is priced $59.99, which is not a surprise if you consider that each of them is being considered a standalone Final Fantasy title.
The leak also comes with a lot of gameplay details that we’re not reporting in full, as you can go and check all of them on Reddit as per the original op.
Interestingly, though, the open world is mentioned and said to be “almost seamless.” There will be roads and methods of transportations, says the leak, with vehicles like the Tiny Bronco and of course the Chocobos.
“They have really made an effort to make each town feel lived in, and feel like there is a reason why each place is like the way it is. Each town is very unique from the last,” as for the cities.
For what matters combat, finally, the summons will be as the original cut-scenes and won’t fight alongside you on the field.
We’ll learn more about the game as soon as it gets officially revealed at the Square Enix E3 2019 showcase in June.
