A new trailer for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake was given a world premiere in today’s Video Game Awards 2019.

The trailer showed off more cutscenes and gameplay for the game. We saw more classic scenes with Cloud in Midgard and new dialogue exchanges between the characters, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, and the rest of the members of AVALANCHE.

There was also extended footage of the first boss mission, which includes the fight with Guard Scorpion. We later see brief new scenes of Cloud with Aerith and AVALANCHE, including an extended fight scene with Reno.

There is also a moment in the trailer where Cloud and Tifa have a conversation together, with the latter trying to convince the former to stay in Midgar. The trailer also features a lot of new remix tracks from the classic Final Fantasy VII game, with the main battle theme being the most prominent in the trailer.

The trailer was meant with big applause in the ceremony, highlighting how much in-demand the game is.

The original Final Fantasy VII was released in 1997, and it is often hailed as one of the most popular RPG games ever. The Final Fantasy VII Remake is slated to release on Mar. 3, 2020.
