Fire Emblem: Three Houses has been reported to have sold 800k digitally, becoming the best launch for the franchise in digital format.

Three Houses was released last month to critical acclaim, with many critics and fans praising the characters, tactical combat, and the hours of gameplay available. Many fans also saw Three Houses as a step up when compared to the most recent entries of the Fire Emblem franchise.

SuperData Research, which is a Nielson Company, reports that the digital sales for Three Houses have reached 800k. That makes the game the best-selling game at launch for the franchise and ranking it the third most sold game globally in July. Grand Theft Auto V and Call of Duty: Black Ops III are the only other two games that had higher profits digitally in July.

Three Houses has been enjoying a lot of attention lately. Not only has the game sold well and was well-received, people all over the internet can’t help but express their love of the game. Fans have become attached to the characters and aesthetics; there are tons of fan art from the game. The good sales for the game shouldn’t be that much of shock.

Though total sales for Fire Emblem: Three Houses has yet to be shared, it has already been reported that it was one of the best-selling physical games in July. Add in the impressive first-month digital sales; it is safe to say that the game has been a financial success for Nintendo.
