Previously, the UK charts have focused on physical game sales and working on those numbers. That changes this week with the first Digital UK Chart where they introduce the digital’s version first top-ten line-up.

The top-ten list covers the week of May 26th with some truly unique titles making the cut.

  1. Total War: Three Kingdoms
  2. Grand Theft Auto V
  3. Monopoly Plus
  4. Minecraft
  5. FIFA 19
  6. Cities: Skylines
  7. Red Dead Redemption 2
  8. Uno
  9. F1 2018
  10. Middle-Earth: Shadow of War

Unfortunately, not every digital sale is getting taken into account for this first wave of information. A handful of more notable names, such as Nintendo, Bethesda, and Konami, were not willing to share their digital sales information. As such, their numbers cannot show a different outcome. Given the positive reception around Total War: Three Kingdoms, it’s unsurprising it surges to the top and claims the first title as it released on May 23.

Other, older games like Grand Theft Auto V, Cities: Skylines, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War stand out as compelling games that continue to perform well.

As these weekly digital sale updates continue to progress, it’ll be interesting it see if the companies who are not sharing their information change their stance. It seems like important information for them to share in the European market. We’ll see how well this information reflects sales in the future as it becomes more a staple alongside the physical sales release information.
